The Overmountain Singers have lost a valued member of the group. On September 22, 2005, we lost a beloved husband, and dear friend....Dennis Kennedy (husband of Mary Jane Kennedy). He was always there for our group....carrying instruments, taking pictures, driving members to various locations, and most importantly was our most staunch supporter and cheered us on at every event. He is greatly missed by all the members of The Overmountain Singers...especially his wife of twenty-seven wonderful years. We will never forget his support and love.
