The Overmountain Singers

The Overmountain Singers is a versatile performing group that originated from The Wataugans, Tennessee’s Official Outdoor Drama located in Elizabethton, Tennessee. This multi-talented group of performers specializes in both a cappella and accompanied singing. Representing the 18th century settlers (The Overmountain People) who settled in the Northeast Tennessee Mountains, the Overmountain Singers present Celtic, Traditional, Folk, Christian, and Holiday music using original arrangements. Combined with story telling and offering the stories behind the music, The Overmountain Singers' Programs present a unique combination of musical heritage.

The Overmountain Singers offer original compositions with traditional favorites. Their melodic voices combine with guitar, keyboard, tin whistle, flute, lap dulcimer, bodhran drum, Native American flute, rainstick, and hammered dulcimer, to delight audiences throughout the Mountain Empire.
