Educational Background: Bachelors of Music (piano, jazz, and theory) from the University of North Texas (92). Diploma from Munich Jazz School (87). Studies with Chucho Valdes in Cuba (94), Harold Danko in New York (95), and Mike Longo ('03) in New York.

Experience: Has been performing and recording with Ute Lemper, Alicia Svegal, Richard Bona, Groove Collective, Leslie Ugamms, William Cepeda, Big Apple Cicus, Mike Manieri, Dave Samuels, Gary Burton, Kenny Wheeler, Norma Winstone, Changuito, Slide Hamilton, Herb Geller, Harvie Swartz, Irakere, Cirque du Soleil, Giovanni Hidalgo. Has taught at the University of Hartford, University of North Texas, and Afrocubanismo! '96 in Banff, Canada (with Chucho Valdes).

Awards: Grammy nomination (¹02) outstanding Musician Emporia College Jazz Festival (89) - Scholarships to Banff (93) and North Texas (88-91).

Additional: Works extensively with computers and is a consultant for setting up systems and tutoring programs. Digital Performer, Logic, Reason, and Garage Band.
