Experience: Gia Sastre, originally from Miami, Fl. graduated with highest honors from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Music degree in Flute Performance. In 1999, Gia was the recipient of the Jeanette Humphress Scholarship for International Flute Study and traveled to London for extended study with Paul Edmund Davies, principal of the London Symphony Orchestra. Gia is currently attending DePaul University on a music talent scholarship and is earning her Master of Music degree in performance, studying with Louise Dixon and Mary Stolper of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.
