Rates: $17.00 per Half Hour.

Educational Background: B.A. Social Science - Hofstra University - 1998 - Valedictorian and Phi Beta Kappa Scholar. St. John's University - 2003 - Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology.

Experience: Music: Private music teacher for eleven years working with students from age seven to eighteen. Member of Hofstra University Concert Band and Wind Ensemble, Valley Stream Community Band, Nassau Pops Wind Ensemble, Adelphi Orchestra, Band of Long Island, and South Shore Wind Ensemble. All County Band for six years, and District Band and Orchestra for six years. Art: Private art teacher for nine years working with young children and teenagers. Art teacher for grades Kindergarten through Seventh Grade in the summer recreation program in Franklin Square.

Awards: Carey High School - Outstanding Band Musician. Principal first, second, and third clarinet in All County Band. Principal first clarinet in District Band and Orchestra.

Additional: Gives private lessons in Franklin Square home. In music, teaches from beginner to advanced levels. Covers lesson books, exercises, scales, band music, NYSSMA solos, audition pieces and more. Has turned out many All County Players and principal chairs. Has helped students that were on the verge of losing their band positions. For Art, teaches pencil drawing, pen and ink, water color, origami, calligraphy, pumpkin/vegetable carving, paper cutting, greeting card design, and more. Uses innovative techniques that work (e.g. verbal mediation) to build children's art skills. Techniques have worked well with all children including those with visuospatial impairments.
