Educational Background: Bachelor of Music cum laude, U. of Michigan; student of Paul Kantor Master of Music, Shepherd School of Music at Rice University; student of Sergiu Luca Additional studies in masterclasses and summer programs ranging from the Aspen Music Festival, Tanglewood Music Center, Kent/Blossom, Schleswig-Holstein in Germany, to Domaine Forget, Canada studying with internationally known teachers and ensembles such as Almita & Roland Vamos, Christian Altenburger, Yefim Bronfman, Ulf Hoelscher, Pamela Frank, Ursula Oppens, Philippe Muller, the American String Quartet, the Borromeo String Quartet, and the Concord String Quartet.

Experience: I have been teaching since before I was in high school, and besides maintaining a private studio in Michigan and now in Houston I have also taught through the music festivals of Manchester and Aspen as part of their fellowship programs. I was also on the violin faculty of the Shepherd School Preparatory Program during my studies at Rice. A recent Rice graduate, I have also been heard performing in Houston as violinist of the baroque ensemble Collegium Noctuarum, which was most recently selected to perform in the Presidential Concert at Rice University, as well as with the Houston Symphony Orchestra, and other area ensembles. As concertmaster of an All-Copland concert, I was heard broadcast on Houston classical radio KUHF on Thanksgiving Day.

Additional: I maintain a private studio in the Rice area and welcome all age levels. My style of teaching incorporates Suzuki as well as traditional teaching, especially for those students in orchestra programs at a young age and older students and those advanced beyond Suzuki.
