Experience: Accomplished teacher with many years' experience working with young children (from age 6), high school students, adult returnees, teachers, professional pianists; beginners (of any age!) through performers of advanced repertoire; preparation for NYSSMA, competitions, or college auditions. Many private classes for youngsters and adults in harmony, ear training, etc. Former concert pianist with performances in New York, Washington D.C., London, Venezuela, etc. Thirteen years on college faculty, currently teaching at the Nassau BOCES Cultural Arts Center, Long Island's unique high school for the arts. Author of Introduction to Four-Part Harmony; CD of piano works by Dohnanyi available internationally. Lifelong passion for helping people at all levels to enjoy the pursuit of their musical potential, with special enthusiasm for working with young students.
