Orff Certification - Mozarteum, Salzburg Austria. Has studied with many eminent pianists in Europe and the US. Primary teachers include: Dr. Alfred Kanwischer (concert pianist, Beethoven specialist, former faculty of University of Boston and San Jose State University), Dr. Jonathan Bass(concert pianist, first prize winner of Joanna Hodges International Competition, Faculty of New England Conservatory and Boston conservatory), and the late Marina Grin (concert pianist former faculty of Moscow Conservatory & San Francisco Conservatory). In Europe, studied with Martyn Van den Hoek(first prize winner of Liszt competition, professor at Vienna Conservatory), Marjes Benoist (professor at Amsterdam Conservatory), Volker Banfield (professor at Hamburg Hochschule fur Musik), and Grigory Gruzman (professor at Hamburg Hochshule fur Musik) Also worked with reknowned pianists Theodore Lettvin and Vladimir Viardo in master classes.Experience: Fifteen years of teaching experience.Additional: The studio is equipped with three pianos: two new full sized Kawai Grand Pianos and one Kawai Digital Piano. A large library of music scores, instructional literature as well as urtext editions including complete Henle Edition Library, a large collection of CD's and music books which are available for reference. Performance opportunities, competitions, and graded exams of state, national, and international levels are offered to qualifying students. Creative lessons are designed to meet every student's need. Integration of theory, ear training, sight reading, and repertoire is taught from the very beginning. Although classically trained, has successfully taught all styles of music to students of different ages for the last 15 years.
