Educational Background: B.S. in Biology - Baylor University in 1998. Fourth year Medical Student at UT Health Science Center at San Antonio - Class of 2003. Graduate of US Military School of Music in 1991.

Experience: Lead Trumpet - 2nd Marine Division Band - Camp Lejeune in North Carolina - 1991 to 1994. Principle Soloist - Baylor University Golden Wave Marching Band - 1995 and 1996. Guitarist and singer with Christian Medical Dental Society.

Awards: Recipient of the John Philip Sousa Band Award and Scholarship in 1990. Two time recipient of Outstanding Band Member Award - Baylor University Golden Wave Marching Band.

Additional: Specializes in helping and encouraging students in the scientific fields, expecially those who are considering the possibility of entering the medical fields. Knows from experience how difficult it can be and realizes that encouragement can be in short supply. Believes that it is never too late for someone to follow their dreams. Loves to teach. As a musician, greatest joy is to be able to share the sense of enrichment and wonder that music has brought into life.
