State Hayward.Experience: BIO A native of New Orleans, Blyss honed his chops in the musically rich culture of the "Big Easy." Blyss embraces many genres in his approach to playing. Most noteably Soul, Funk, R&B, and jazz, but prefers to call his style "universal". Over the years He has made a name for himself as a talented session player having worked with many area producers and engineers including Josh Weaver, aka "Tone" who won a Grammy for Santana's Shaman release. He is also a talented producer and engineer in his own right and has produced and engineered tracks for Blackporch, Chris Marsol (www.chrismarsol.com) , Femi and Level Seven, Cara Aley (www.caraaley.com) and others. Playing with an amazing aray of artists Blyss has shared stages with: Outkast The Black Eyed Peas Evenescence Maroon 5 The Donnas Latoya London (pre- American Idol) the Dave Mathews Band The Roots ELECTRIC BASS INSTRUCTION Blyss is also an Electric Bass instructor, teaches from his home studio in San Leandro Ca. and offers: Fundamental technique and knowledge of music theory taught in a fun, creative, non- intimidating environment. Development of the student's personal musical style as well as exposure to other styles that are essential to being a versatile, well rounded musician.
